Alumni, faculty, students, staff, and friends are cordially invited to the dedication marking the renovation and modernization of the Acopian Engineering Center Friday, Oct. 24. The dedication ceremony will be held at 5 p.m., followed by a reception and tours at 5:45 p.m.

The Acopian Center was created through a complete renovation and modernization of Lafayette’s entire 90,000-square-foot engineering complex. The center is named in recognition of a major gift from Easton businessman Sarkis Acopian, a 1951 Lafayette graduate, and his wife, Bobbye. Sarkis Acopian is the founder of Acopian Technical Company, Palmer Township, Pa.

Sarkis Acopian graduated from Lafayette with a degree in mechanical engineering. He and Bobbye Acopian have two sons and a grandson who are Lafayette graduates. The sons are Gregory Acopian ’70, Jeffrey Acopian ’75. The grandson is Ezra Acopian ’03.
