Registration is due tomorrow for Idealist Career Day, an interactive workshop organized by Career Services and the Landis Community Outreach Center.

The event, which includes dinner, will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in Marlo Room West of the Farinon Center. A $10 refundable deposit is required. To register, stop by Career Services at 201 Hogg Hall or call x5115.

The workshop is designed by Action Without Borders-Idealist.org to help students explore career options in the nonprofit sector. It will answer questions such as:

  • Can I get paid to work for a nonprofit?
  • What kind of nonprofit job might be right for me?
  • What is the “nonprofit sector?”
  • How do a find a job with a nonprofit?

Nonprofit areas that apply include environmental, youth, international, homelessness, poverty, public policy, technology, media, human services, animal rights, faith-based, secular, and many others.
