Alumni and students face off for annual game
On March 6, alumni and students faced off for the seventh annual Alumni Ice Hockey Game. The game ended in a 6-6 tie and the student team scored the game-winning goal in a shoot-out.
Nineteen alumni donned their skates, jerseys, and helmets for the event. Nathan Bazak ‘03, Danny Bowen ‘03, Steve Calawa ‘03, Brian Cardew ‘73, Henry Gabathuler ‘03, Marc Gallagher ‘93, Chris Gonnella ‘97, Jon Grabowski ‘03, James Haroldson ‘02, Andy Harrall ‘03, Christian Henry ‘02, Brian Hobby ‘02, Richard Inhoffer ‘63, Ted Kapusta ‘03, Kirk Leslie ‘97, Mark Platt ‘00, John Ritter ‘03, Robert Sauer ‘81, and Chad Wolf ‘03 played for the alumni team. Scott Dickinson ‘00 was on the sidelines.
Following the game, alumni, students, family, and friends enjoyed a delicious dinner in the
faculty dining room of Marquis Hall. T-shirts were presented to the returning alumni and gifts to the retiring seniors: Chris Bashur, Guy Decker, Peter McLane, and John Millinghausen.
The following awards were given: Leading Scorer, Peter McLane ‘04; Rookie of the Year, Matt Soper ‘07; Player’s Player, Guy Decker ‘04; Practice Player, Mike Caufield ‘05; Leopard Award, Matt Bartle ‘05; Outstanding Forward, Peter McLane ‘04; Outstanding Defensemen, Guy Decker ‘04 and John Millinghausen ‘04; and Most Valuable Player, Peter McLane ‘04.
