“The Lafayette Experience taught me to think about issues,” says Bennett Goodman ’79, an A.B. engineering graduate chosen by Credit Suisse First Boston to lead an new alternative-capital fund and former chair of CSFB’s merchant banking and leverage finance division. “By combining the engineering curriculum with liberal arts courses, I got the best of both worlds, a rigorous analytical framework with which to assess challenges facing the economy, government policy, and international affairs.
