1:30 p.m. update — Since its restoration early Friday morning, email service has been spotty. For further updates refer to the ITS web site.
8 a.m. — Email service was restored at 12:30 a.m. Friday. The service had been unavailable since 6 p.m. Tuesday due to a hardware failure caused by a storm that left the campus without electric power from Tuesday evening until Wednesday at 3 p.m.

11 p.m. update — ITS reports that email server restoration is still in progress and that the help desk (x5501) will have an update at 7 a.m. Friday.
8 p.m. update — ITS reports that email server restoration is still in progress and that the help desk (x5501) will have an update at 11 p.m. ITS staff are monitoring the restoration and expect to have email service restored before the evening is over.
4:30 p.m. update — Information Technology Services reports that data restoration of the College’s email service is still ongoing. Another update will be provided at 8 p.m. via the Information Technology Services help desk at x5501.
Noon update — According to the Information Technology Services help desk update, restoration of the College’s email service is still expected this afternoon. The Information Technology staff is continuing the project of restoring data from backup. Another update will be provided by the help desk at 4 p.m. today.
9:45 a.m. — It is expected that the College’s email service will be restored this afternoon. The service has been unavailable since 6 p.m. Tuesday due to a hardware failure caused by a storm that left the campus without electric power from Tuesday evening until yesterday at 3 p.m.
The mail server, which was damaged by the storm, remains in a data-restoration process as of 9:45 a.m. today, reports John O’Keefe, director of academic technology and network services. All network services have been restored except for the email server.
Members of the campus community may call the Information Technology Services help desk at x5501 for updates, which will be provided at noon and 4 p.m. today.
