I am writing to thank you for offering me your Class of 2006 stipend to work an unpaid internship. Your generosity has made it possible for me to work with the Consumer Fraud division of the New York State Attorney General’s Office. The knowledge I have gained from working within that office was invaluable, not simply by furthering my personal education of New York’s legal system, but also in helping to influence my future career decisions. Today I can better gauge my own career choices, and without your help my future decisions would not be as educated. It can be very hard for many students to work volunteer internships such as mine, when dealing with the present financial obligations, yet these opportunities tend to be the most worthwhile, and I can positively say that in my experience this held true.

I would like to say that I felt like the New York State Attorney General’s internship program provides students with wonderful opportunities, and without your help it would not have been possible. Again, thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Joseph Costello
