Try the chocolate-covered strawberries from the newly reopened Carmelcorn Shop or chocolate mousse from the soon-to-open State Café and Grill. Or maybe the triple chocolate petit fours covered in ganache from Suzie’s Mixing Bowl would satisfy your cravings. Of course there’s always the Mexican chocolate torte with cinnamon spiced pecans from Pearly Baker’s Alehouse, cheesecake squares dipped in ganache from Liz Mulrine Catering, and “chocolate on the edge” gourmet ice cream from In the Mix.
These decadent offerings, and more, are part of “An Evening of Sinfully Delicious Chocolate Desserts and Sultry Jazz,” to be held from 8 to 11 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 10, in the Gold Room of the new Eastonian Condominiums at 140 Northampton St.
The pre-Valentine’s Day event, sponsored by Easton’s Main Street Initiative, will also include music by keyboardist Sean Gough ’09 and is held in conjunction with the Michael Amante: Songs of Love show at the State Theatre. Basic admission is $10 per person, but anyone presenting a Feb. 10 dinner receipt from an Easton restaurant or a ticket stub from the Amante show will be admitted for $5.
Proceeds support downtown revitalization. The chocolate, meanwhile, will probably go straight to your thighs.
