Alumni, two area bands, and others will march on College Hill Saturday, June 2, as part of Reunion Weekend.
The parade will form 11 a.m. on the Quad. A parade marshal will feed bands and vehicles into the parade lineup as the procession enters High Street on the campus at 11:30 a.m. The procession will continue left onto Hamilton Street, right on Parsons, left on Cattell, right on Pierce, right on Reeder, right on Parsons, left on Cattell, and right on High, concluding shortly after passing McCartney Street.
The first parade division will include a police escort, Grand Marshal Chas Snyder ’78, Boy Scout Troop 29 Color Guard, the City of Bethlehem Bagpipe Band, Lafayette President Dan Weiss and his family, and members of Lafayette’s oldest alumni, the 50-Plus Club, who will be walking, taking a trolley, and riding in vehicles from the Easton Corvette Club.
The second division will be led by Parade Marshals Ted Veresink ’68 and HelenBeth Vilcek ’79, followed by members of Class of 1957, the Pioneer Band of Allentown, the Class of 1962 (including two hay wagons), and the Classes of 1972 and 1977.
Parade Marshal Bob Schaller ’68 will lead the third division, which will have the Classes of 1982, 1992, 1997, and 2002.
Other reunion activities will include receptions, concerts, lectures, family activities, and dedications of the new Bourger Varsity Football House and the renovated Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house, which has been part of the campus for nearly a century.
