TranquiliTea House opens Jan. 17; The Paul Green School of Rock Music opens March 7
Two new Easton businesses are opening their doors downtown during the first few months of 2009.
The TranquiliTea House opened Saturday, Jan. 17, at 106 N. 4th Street (the former Ahlum Gallery). The tea room sells loose teas and tea accessories. The business also hosts art exhibits, poetry readings, and live music.
An Easton branch of The Paul Green School of Rock Music will open Saturday, March 7, at 19 S. Bank Street (formerly the Easton Museum of Pez Dispensers). Founded in 1998, the school is the nation’s premier performance-based rock music program. With more than 40 locations across the country, the school accepts students ages 7-18 and puts them through a program of private lessons, group rehearsals, music theory classes, and open jam sessions in guitar, bass, keyboards, or vocals. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for noon, March 7.
