Stress relief and fun prizes will be featured tomorrow evening during Bingo Night at the Gilbert’s Annex (back room).

Scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m., the free event is open to the campus courtesy of CHILL (Creating a Healthy, Interesting, Livable Lafayette).

The student group is dedicated to providing fun, stress-relieving activities for its members and the campus.

“Our focus is on stress reduction,” explains chemistry major Meredith White ’06 (Andover, Mass.). “Club events that we have held so far this year include hiking, kite-flying, a visit to a haunted house in Philadelphia, and home-cooked dinners at McKelvy. Bingo marks our third campus-wide event this semester, the first being free tie-dying on the Quad both at lunch one day and during Family Weekend, and the other was offering free five-minute massages during Wellness Day.”

CHILL meets 9:15 p.m. each Tuesday in the Farinon Center Atrium. Other planned events this semester include make-your-own stress balls this Friday during lunch in the Atrium and a study tips/stress management workshop during ComeUnity Week. The group also hopes to create T-shirts bearing the CHILL logo.

Last year, CHILL held Make-Your-Own Kite Day on the Quad during the last week of the spring semester.

CHILL was founded by computer science major Geoff Oxholm ’04 (Merion Station, Pa.) and Julia Damiano ’02 (Easton, Pa.), who later graduated as a double major in art and history. For more information or to get involved, email White at whitem@lafayette.edu.
