Applications to participate in the 11th annual Fringe festival, a “celebration of the arts and the unusual,” are due today in the office of Michael O’Neill, director of College Theater, in Williams Center for the Arts room 119, or Allison Blatt, Williams Center operational director, in room 133.
Original Performance Nights will be held 8 p.m. Nov. 19-21 in the Williams Center for the Arts Black Box theater. Applicants must provide: a brief description of what they intend to do; a list of everyone involved and a contact person, including campus box number, phone number, and email address; a preferred date for the performance; and a copy of the script, song, poem, etc.
College Theater will provide basic lighting, electrical outlets, and refreshments after the performance. Electronic equipment, costumes, scenery, special effects, and props are the responsibility of the performers.
Scheduled for Nov. 18-22 at the Williams Center, the Fringe is a showcase for original plays, music, poetry, performance pieces, scenes, dance, and improvisation by Lafayette, alumni, and faculty. Events are free of charge.
