Skillman Library’s Guide to the Papers of Howard Chandler Christy was awarded first place in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference’s annual finding aids competition.
Project archivist Elaine McCluskey Stomber ’89, who compiled the guide, received a citation and cash award at a MARAC meeting in Trenton, N.J.
The Finding Aid Awards Committee found the guide “well written and easy to use.” They were impressed by the “use of photographs, the layout of the introductory page, and the amount of work that went into the very detailed guide.” The accompanying gallery of more than 120 illustrations on the web site was noted as “a particularly interesting and useful feature.”
