Campus Community Celebrates Unity at Equality Rally

Representatives from more than 35 academic departments, administrative offices, and student organizations celebrated unity at Wednesday’s bi-annual LGBTQ Equality Rally.  Dressed in T-shirts of multiple colors representing the rainbow/LGBTQ flag, students, faculty, and staff posed for a group photo on the steps of Skillman Library. Other activities included musical performances, readings, and an open mic on the Quad in front of Farinon College Center.

    What a thrill to see such joy in the faces, and in the faces of so many people. It’s breathtaking, really, after so many years of sensing, well, repression. Congratulations to all involved. Stay out! Do more. Say more. Sing more. Write more. Be more! Now, where do I get a Tee Shirt?
