Three new trips for Lafayette alumni, parents, friends, and guests have been added to the 2011 schedule. Here’s your chance to travel with alumni friends to Ireland, Spain, and China.

The journey to Ireland, set for May 31 to June 11, 2011, will include four nights in Kilkenny, four nights in Ennis, and two nights in Dublin. Local experts will provide educational programs throughout the trip, and a detailed guide provided ahead of time will give travelers a chance to study and research the destinations. Sites will include the Irish National Heritage Park, Rock of Cashel, the Ancient Burren and Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Irish National Stud Farm, and a tour of the city of Dublin. Current price is from $3,020 per person.

The itinerary for Spain, set for Sept. 22 to Oct. 3, 2011, begins with three nights in Madrid, followed by four nights in Laguardia and three nights in Barcelona. A deluxe motor coach will provide transportation between locations. Local experts will serve as guides. Some of the sites include Prado Museum, historic Toledo, Burgos and the city’s cathedral, a visit to Bilbao and the Guggenheim Museum, and the Old Castile in Zaragoza. Current price is from $3,640 per person.

An exciting journey to China begins Oct. 9, 2011 with three nights in Beijing followed by two nights in Xi’an, two nights in Guilin, a three-day Yangtze River cruise aboard the Century Sky, concluding with two nights in Shanghai ending on Oct. 22, 2011. Current price is from $3,540 per person.
