Robert I. Weiner, Jones Professor of History

Lectures by faculty who taught courses during the Alumni Summer College in July can be viewed on Lafayette’s YouTube channel.

Alumni Summer College features ten 90-minute classes taught by faculty representing Lafayette’s four academic divisions: engineering, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The three-day learning experience is designed for alumni, parents, spouses, and friends to become directly involved in the intellectual life on campus. Next year’s program will be July 21-24.

Faculty members from this year’s program included Diane Cole Ahl, Rothkopf Professor of Art History, who taught courses on Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo; Jamila Bookwala, associate professor of psychology, who taught Our Relationships, Our Health and Successful Aging; David Brandes, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, who taught The World Water Crisis; Dru Germanoski, Van Artsdalen Professor of Geology and Environmental Geosciences, who taught River Form, Function, and Their Ecological Impact; Robert I. Weiner, Jones Professor of History, who taught The Nature and Impact of World War I and The Origins of World War II; and President Daniel H. Weiss, who taught Art and Culture in the Age of the Crusades and Writing about the War in Vietnam.
