Perfect weather and a 31-7 win over Bucknell highlighted Homecoming 2013, held Oct. 5. A special pre-game event with food, DJ, and games was held for students on Anderson Courtyard. The annual alumni tailgate picnic was held in Pfenning Alumni Center and on Bourger Plaza, fraternity and sorority groups gathered on Markle Deck, and McDonogh Network sponsored a tailgate at Portlock Black Cultural Center following the opening reception for “Tales of Our Brothers: The Journey of David and Washington McDonogh” exhibit in Pardee Hall.

McDonogh Exhibit

A reception was held Oct. 5, 2013, for the opening of “Tales of Our Brothers: The Journey of David and Washington McDonogh,” a long-term exhibit featured in Pardee Hall. Curated by Robert Young ’14 working with Diane W. Shaw, College archivist and director of Special Collections, Skillman Library, it features the stories of Aaron Hoff, the McDonogh brothers, and several others who were among the first African American graduates of Lafayette.
