Lafayette College's Tri Delta sorority and Theta Delta Chi fraternity will sponsor the 7th annual Jail and Bail Day to benefit the American Cancer Society from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, in the Farinon College Center. The goal is to exceed the total of $2,000 raised in last year's Jail and Bail.

Lafayette students, staff, and administrators will “arrest” their friends and co-workers. Those arrested will be escorted from offices and residences by student “sheriffs” to Farinon Center, where they will “raise bail” by making phone calls to obtain pledges of support for the American Cancer Society.

Nationally, members of Tri Delta have raised more than six million dollars for children's cancer charities and research since 1974.
