Professor Margarete Lamb-Faffelberger, associate professor of foreign languages and literature, has traveled to Canada and South Africa to deliver lectures this semester.

Lamb-Faffelberger’s research on the issues of national and cultural identity and the roles of intellectuals in modern Austria and Germany took her to two universities. At the University of New Brunswick, she presented the guest lecture at the 2001 series entitled “Cultural Identities,” offered by the department of culture and language studies. Lamb-Faffelberger also gave the keynote address at the 2001 Congress of the Association for German Studies in Southern Africa (SAGV) held at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
