Comedienne Alexandra McHale will appear at the Farinon snackbar 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, kicking off the Lafayette Activities Forum’s slate of events for the 2001-2002 school year.

McHale has been a regular at The Comic Strip, Catch a Rising Star, and Caroline’s. She also is well known in improv circles, having performed with N20 Comedy, The Bottlerockets, and All Legs, No Brains.

A New York City resident, McHale was seen this past summer at the Toyota Comedy Festival. As a member of the Actor’s Studio in New York City, she studied with Paul Newman, Sally Field, and Robert Redford. She has performed on the comedy show “New Joke City” with Robert Klein and as a host of the “Who Knew” segment on the Metro Channel’s weekly show “Gotham.” She is a graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut.
