Lafayette Campus-Wide Email

To the Campus Community:

In the wake of today’s tragedy, counselors in the Counseling Center are available to speak with students, as are staff members in the Office of Student Residence and the Office of Student Activities.

Chaplains and religious advisors are also available, and Colton Chapel is open for prayer and meditation.

Those wishing to watch television coverage may do so at Limburg Theater in Farinon Center and at Keefe Hall Commons.

Classes are being held as scheduled at the discretion of faculty. Liberal excuses will be granted to those with family members who may be affected.

The full effect that this tragedy will have on the Lafayette community cannot be known at this early stage. I urge all members of our community to be concerned for each other’s well-being in addition to our own as together we learn more about these terrible events.

A prayer vigil organized by the chaplain’s office is being planned for this evening on the steps of Farinon. More details will be available as they become known.
