The Alpha Omega Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity raised $430 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through its car wash Sunday.

The group expressed its appreciation for the support of the Lafayette community and parents, as well as the businesses and residents of Easton. “The turnout was tremendous — there was a steady stream of cars for nearly three hours,” says Theta Chi member Eric Stauffer.

The car wash took place in front of the Theta Chi chapter house, 225 Reeder Street. All proceeds were given to the Lehigh Valley chapter of the American Red Cross.

Theta Chi, a national men’s fraternity established in 1856, has 136 active chapters across the United States and Canada. The Alpha Omega Chapter at Lafayette College was founded in 1930. The American Red Cross has been the national philanthropic organization of Theta Chi Fraternity since 1998.
