Lafayette Campus News (www.lafayette.edu), October 24, 2001 — Edward Wetzel, director of marketing and strategic planning for municipal operations with the engineering firm Montgomery Watson Harza, will give a lecture 12:20 p.m. tomorrow in the Kirby Hall of Civil Rights auditorium.

Sponsored by the Lafayette chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the talk is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

Wetzel holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Lehigh University and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Florida, and South Carolina. He has 25 years of experience in teaching and consulting, with special expertise in the area of utility acquisition and privatization, where he has managed the engineering due diligence associated with 20 acquisitions totaling $500 million. Before rejoining Montgomery Watson in 1999, he worked six years as corporate director of a large environmental firm’s water and waste management business practice. He previously worked with Montgomery Watson from 1985-1993 in Pasadena and Florida, where he served as the Palm Beach office manager and the Southeast Group marketing director.
