Susan Charlton, director of the Wind Chamber Ensemble, and Alexis Fisher, part-time instructor of piano, will present a program of music for flute and piano noon today in room 123 of the Williams Center for the Arts.

The recital is free and open to the public. Dessert and beverages will be provided; lunch should be brought.

The faculty will play Grand Rondeau Brilliant, op.126, by Hummel; Sonatine by Dutilleux; and Sonata in Eb major BWV 1031 by Bach.

The pair last teamed up for a recital on Nov. 5, 2000, at Lafayette.

“As always, we enjoyed doing the program together and immediately looked forward to the next opportunity to perform,” says Fisher. “Susan and I have worked together for many years, so the intricacies of ensemble playing fall into place very easily. It is a joy to rehearse and perform with Susan.”

Fisher also will perform a free solo recital 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002, in the Williams Center auditorium.
