A dozen campus groups are joining together to present “The Celebration of Seasons” 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Farinon Center atrium.

Coordinated by the International Students Association and co-sponsored by the Lafayette Intercultural Networking Council, the event is free and open to the public.

“At this time of year, people across the world observe special aspects of their beliefs and celebrate them,” says Edward Asiedu, ISA president. “Some of the largest events are Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid-il-Fitr, and Kwanzaa. In recognition of this, several student organizations are presenting aspects of these celebrations this week during this ‘Celebration of Seasons.’ Each organization will have a fun, informative display as well as something to eat or do.”

Participating groups are the Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Alpha Phi, and Alpha Gamma Delta sororities; the Muslim Students Association; the Association of Black Collegians; the Hispanic Society of Lafayette; the African Caribbean Association; the International Students Association; Hillel Society; and the German Club.
