I want to extend my thanks to 120 alumni and parents who provided
externships to 166 Lafayette students during the January interim

while observing firsthand the duties of their chosen profession. Our
alumni and parents are wonderful!

ANSWERING THE NATION’S CALL TO SERVICE
Lafayette is a national leader in using federal work-study funds to
support student community service. Last year Lafayette devoted 23
percent of work-study funds to community service, more than triple the 7
percent required by law. The College’s record of using federal
work-study funds for community service is better than almost all other
most-competitive, top-ranked colleges and universities in the United
States.

Gamber was a principal analyst in the Macroeconomic Analysis Division of
the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) for two years and says his

emphasizes understanding policy rather than analyzing theory.
