March 18, 2002
An official meeting of the 2002 Student Government was held in the Farinon Center, Room 12 at 9:03pm. There were 13 members present.

I. President’s Report – Morgan Albus
A. MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM MARCH 14.
MOTION PASSES

B. Fill out the in-service questionnaire from the LLEC and return it to Pam Brewer.
C. Please read over the Provost’s survey results.
D. The AIDS Symposium brown bag is this Tuesday. Jenna, Brad, and Jon will be attending the brown bag, and Morgan, Alex, and Kelly will attend the dinner.
E. .The Website group will meet with John, Thursday at 7:30.
F. The government will sponsor events on the Monday and Tuesday for Anti-Hate Week.
G. FCC dance will be on Saturday, April 6th.
H. There will be a Hillel speaker coming in on Wednesday at 7:30 in the Williams Art Center. Everyone try to attend.
I. There will be an art exhibit Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 in the BCC. Sign up to go to the exhibit if you can.

II. Secretary’s Report – Alex Karapetian
A. All government members that sign up for office hours must be there.
a.) Please keep the office clean during office hours.

III. Treasurer’s Report – Elizabeth Harris
A. Men’s Rugby is here to present an emergency allocation.

B. Budget forms are due Wednesday, April 10 for all organizations.

IV. Campus Student Services – Brad Ship
A. Spoke to Hugh Harris. He said that four juveniles were arrested in the Sullivan Parking Lot because of break-ins. Also, two adults were arrested in the Markle Parking Deck for break-ins as well.
B. Have a meeting with Bruce Ferretti on April 4th.

V. Public Relations – Kelly Smith
A. Will work on finishing bulletin board once all write-ups and pictures are in.
B. Will contact all club presidents to help publicize their events.

VI. Student Organizations – Charlotte Smith
A. Women’s Club Soccer is now a new program at Lafayette.
Met with the Lafayette Arts Club. They are interested in starting a new program.
C. Was in touch with almost all heads of organizations and the list is almost complete.

VII. Community Affairs – Lee Goldfarb
A. Looking into a community service project for the government. Char Gray has made good recommendations and I will pursue them.
B. Student Government will judge an essay contest for Easton High School.
C. Will talk to QUEST about organizing Student Government-sponsored events during Anti-Hate Week.

VIII. Elections Chair – Elizabeth Koskinen
A. E-mailed both Pam Brewer and Kate Yocum regarding the Superior Teaching Award.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:07pm. These are the official minutes of the Student Government.
