Andrew Fix, professor and head of history, will speak on “The Home Vineyard” at a brown bag 12:15 p.m. today in Interfaith Chapel, Hogg Hall.

Fix will talk about the basics and techniques of making wine, including how to start a personal vineyard. Free lunch will be provided at the event, which is sponsored by Lafayette Wine Society. It is open to the campus community.

Economics and business major Gabriel Valentin ’02 (St. Just le Martel, France), president of the Wine Society, will lead a tasting session on the theme “Bordeaux’s Vintages, 1970-1980” 8-9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in the Faculty Dining Room, Marquis Hall. The event costs $6 for non-members of the Wine Society.
