Promoted to vice president of manufacturing, Victaulic Company, Dennis R. Brown '68 is responsible for the company's principal manufacturing facility in Forks Township, Pa., its Forks and Alburtis, Pa., foundries, and its municipal division and technical center in Allentown. Victaulic is the world's leading developer and producer of mechanical pipe joining systems.

Brown joined Victaulic in 1968 and has held a variety of manufacturing and engineering positions, including foundry engineering manager, facilities engineering manager, manager of manufacturing engineering, and most recently, manager of manufacturing and foundries.

A metallurgical engineering graduate, Brown recalls classes with Dr. Leon McGeady. “His exuberance for metallurgy influenced my career choice. The way he taught was very dynamic, and always interesting. Three of my managers are also from Lafayette, all within seven or eight years of the year I graduated,” Brown adds.
