Director of the Center for Management and Entrepreneurship, School of Business, Rutgers University, Camden, William W. Reynolds Jr. '61 has been elected chairman of the board of trustees of The Evergreens, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Moorestown, N.J. Founded in 1919, The Evergreens offers 200 independent living apartments and extended nursing care.
The Center provides business services outreach to the greater South Jersey area and is starting a small business incubator in Camden. An English graduate, Reynolds received an Ed.D. from University of Pennsylvania.
A lifelong resident of Haddonfield, N.J., Reynolds has a lengthy record of community service. He was mayor of Haddonfield from 1973-77 and has served on boards of numerous organizations including the YMCA of Camden County and the Haddonfield Public Library. He is a founder and current chair of Haddonfield Community Foundation.
“It's my way of giving back,” says Reynolds, speaking of his community service and efforts to assist small businesses. “This area has been good to my family. My father graduated from Lafayette because a generous neighbor offered to pay his tuition. Without that help, he would not have been the first member of his family to attend college. He went on to serve on the local school board for 30 years.”
