Two biochemistry graduates from the class of 2002 have published research with Lafayette faculty in a special section of Journal of Liquid Chromatography edited by Joseph Sherma, professor emeritus of chemistry, and Bernard Fried, professor emeritus of biology.

Janna Pachuski and Joseph A. Schariter published “Determination of neutral lipids and phospholipids in the cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni by high performance thin layer chromatography,” which was coauthored with Fried and Sherma. In the same issue, Pachuski and Sherma published “Quantification of lysine in dietary supplement tablets and capsules by reversed phase high performance thin layer chromatography with visible mode densitometry.

Schariter has accepted a position with Merck & Co. in West Point, Pa., and Pachuski is attending Penn State Medical School.
