Jack Lule, professor and chair of journalism and communication at Lehigh University, will discuss his research noon Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Limburg Theater of Farinon College Center.

Open to the Lafayette community, the event will include free sandwiches and drinks.

Lule will talk about his research with students of the “Myths of Masculinity” First-Year Seminar.

He is the author of Daily News, Eternal Stories: The Mythological Role of Journalism (New York: The Guilford Press, 2001), which treats the survival of seven “master myths,” e.g., The Hero, or The Trickster, in the mainstream coverage of the news.
