Lew Minter, visiting lecturer in art and director of the media lab at the Williams Visual Arts Building, was one of four civilians honored for bravery Thursday at the annual awards presentations of the Easton Police Department.

‘‘Police said Minter was able to pull a knife-wielding suspect away from a car that Minter and two others occupied, allowing everyone to get into the car and lock the doors,’’ reported The Morning Call Friday.

Minter is an Easton resident. The attempted robbery took place in June.
