Students have opportunities this week to get a free lunch and have a chance to win $500 toward college expenses.

Registration will be held in the Farinon Center lobby Wednesday and Thursday for free pizza and soda at Lafayette’s opening contest in the Patriot League field hockey tournament Friday. Lunch will be available (while supplies last) 15 minutes before the noon game start time.

One Lafayette student will be picked from among those registering at the game for a chance to win $500 toward college expenses by directing a shot into the goal from midfield.

To provide transportation to the game, a shuttle bus will depart the Williams Center for the Arts every for Rappolt Field half-hour on Friday starting at 11:15 p.m. For Saturday’s 1 p.m. championship game, the bus will leave every half-hour starting at 12:15 p.m.

After first seed Lafayette takes on fourth seed Bucknell at noon Friday, second seed Holy Cross will play third seed American at 2 p.m. The winners advance to the title game.
