The Ice Hockey Club preceded the football team’s thrilling win against Lehigh with a 6-2 victory of its own over the Mountain Hawks Friday night.

Playing before a packed house of nearly 1,000 fans at Lehigh Valley Ice Arena in Whitehall, the Leopards secured their third win in as many years in the annual rivalry. All four Lafayette lines scored, including three goals by first-year students. Lafayette netted three pucks on the power play while killing eight of nine opportunities for Lehigh. Goalie Steve Keen ’06 (Shaker Heights, Ohio) earned the victory between the pipes.

Winners of the past two Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference titles, Lafayette is ranked #11 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Northeast region with an 11-4 record. The prior weekend, the team defeated Millersville and seventh-ranked Penn.
