The Williams Center for the Arts helped the Boys & Girls Club of Easton raise almost $40,000 by hosting its annual jazz festival for the first time in November.

According to an article in The Morning Call, the venue allowed for minimal overhead costs while meeting performers’ requirements. The festival has averaged about $19,450 annually for the past eight years, which helps cover expenses related to the club’s education, social, and athletic programs.

The Boys & Girls Club gave 50 of its tickets in exchange for use of the hall, notes The Morning Call. Those tickets were distributed to Lafayette students.

Next year’s festival is scheduled to return to the Williams Center Nov. 14-15.
