The following is a selection of recent media coverage of Lafayette:

The transcript of an on-line chat with Donald L. Miller, John Henry MacCracken Professor of History, held yesterday by The Washington Post is available on the newspaper’s web site. Miller discussed his book, City of the Century: The Epic of Chicago and the Making of America, which is the basis of a three-part PBS television series that concludes its premiere run with part three tonight.

The Rocky Mountain News mentioned Miller and the book in its Jan. 11 preview of the series, which is available on the newspaper’s web site: “City also offers a chance to see an author who really enjoys talking about his subject: Donald L. Miller’s City of the Century: The Epic of Chicago and the Making of America (even more boosterish) serves as basis for this program. Miller, a Lafayette College professor and biographer of critic and planner Lewis Mumford, on screen is animated, knowledgeable, and engaged in his topic.”

Miller’s involvement in the PBS series is covered in an article on Lafayette’s web site. Prior media coverage of Miller in relation to the series is described in the
