“With the slump in the economy continuing, it is more important than ever to write an effective cover letter and have a successful interview,” notes Career Services, which has scheduled two events to help students in those areas next week.
Students are invited to attend a workshop covering “Tips and Techniques for Writing an Effective Cover Letter” next Wednesday. The following two days, Feb. 20-21, a workshop will prepare students for on-campus interviewing. Interviewing feedback from recruiters who have visited Lafayette will be reviewed, as well as guidelines to help prospective employees be successful in any interview.
Both workshops will be held 12:15 p.m. in Marlo Room West of Farinon College Center. Students should feel free to bring a lunch.
