A comedian, film, discussion about hip-hip, and sporting events are among the entertainment options on campus this weekend.

The varsity basketball teams will host Bucknell tonight, starting with the women at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m. in Kirby Sports Center. The men are tied with Bucknell and Colgate for fourth place in the Patriot League with four conference games remaining.

Lafayette Activities Forum is showing the film Windtalkers, starring Nicholas Cage, in Limburg Theater of the Farinon Center 7 and 10 p.m. today and Saturday, and 10 p.m. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Admission is $2.

A student discussion on “When Did You Fall in Love with Hip-Hop?” will take place 9 p.m. today in Keefe Commons. Organizers describe the event as “Student panels dive into an intense discussion about those mean adolescent years when you realized that you fell head over heels in love with hip-hop!”

Comedian Mark Reedy will perform his stand-up routine 10 p.m. today in the Farinon Center snack bar. Reedy has been seen on the Showtime, MTV, A&E, and HBO television networks. Sponsored by Lafayette Activities Forum, the event is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, Lafayette plays Temple in baseball at Metzgar Fields in Easton. The first pitch will be hurled at 1 p.m. The team is coming off its best season in the past decade and fields 22 returning letter-winners and has starters with at least one year of experience in seven of the nine positions, including DH. Lafayette’s basketball teams host archrival Lehigh Sunday for a 1 p.m. women’s game and 3:15 p.m. men’s contest. Lehigh came into the weekend 15-8 overall and 7-3 in Patriot League play. Entering its game today at Army, the Engineers (15-8) were 5-0 at home in conference play and 2-3 on the road. A preview of this weekend’s hoops action is available on Lafayette’s web site.
