The entire membership of Chi Phi fraternity spent a day last month helping with the cleanup and maintenance of Haven House in Allentown, which provides mental health services. Six hours of work accomplished what had been planned as a two-day project. The fraternity is considering service at an animal shelter for future volunteer work.

Chi Phi is remodeling its third floor lounge, having cleaned the room, repaired the walls, and painted. Furniture may be acquired in the future.

Cleanup also has occurred in the basement, which will be remodeled as well.

“Right now, it is just a room for storage, but it has been proposed to clean out the room, repair any damages, and transform the room into a library for everyone to use,” says Ross N. Dodd ’04 (Morristown, N.J.), a mathematics-economics major and head of public and Greek relations for Chi Phi.
