Thomas W. Gold, a political science professor at Brooklyn College-CUNY, will talk about governmental and regional issues in modern Italy 12:15 p.m. today in room 3 of Kirby Hall of Civil Rights.

Lunch should be brought; drinks will be provided. The free event is sponsored by Lafayette’s Robert B. and Helen S. Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government.

Gold most recently spoke at the EUSA 8th Biennial International Conference last week in Nashville Tenn., on “Federalist Reform in Italy: The Influence of the European Integration.” He received a 1993 field grant for dissertation research from the Research Institute for the Study of Man for a project entitled “Ethnic Identity and the Changing Party System in Italy: The Rise of the Northern League” while based at the New School for Social Research in New York.
