Two special-interest living groups are seeking student applicants for next semester.

Applications for the El Mundo group on the third floor of Ramer Hall are available in the ISA room in Farinon College Center and on the ISA web site. They were officially due to be emailed to economics and business major Eric Pilson ’03 (Spotsylvania, Va.) at pilsone, sent to Box 9217, or delivered to Ramer 304 by last Friday. For more information about remaining room availability, call Pilson at x4245.

As of last week, several rooms were available for next year, including singles and doubles. Roommate preferences should be indicated in case the singles are taken by others. Priority goes to current El Mundo residents.

Students for Social Justice is starting a new living floor for activists and those interested in “progressive” politics. “We plan to have people interested in varied issues, from the environment to fair trade, race issues, and most importantly, anti-war issues,” according to the group. The tentative name is Justice, Acceptance and Ecology Floor. “So far we have an eye on fourth floor Keefe. It’s sunny and has great facilities.”

For more information or to help, contact civil engineering major Fidel Maltez ’05 (Hialeah, Fla.) or math and economics major Peter Erin ’05 (Beaver, Pa.) at x4271 or maltezf, or English major Mike Thompson ’05 (Catawissa, Pa.) at x3163 or thompsom.

Those placed on a special living floor are not part of the housing lottery.
