The Chorduroys, Lafayette’s male a cappella group, will present its second annual end-of-the-year concert 8 p.m. tonight in the Farinon Center Snack Bar.

The group will perform songs from its repertoire list, which includes “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters, “What it Takes” by Aerosmith, “Istanbul (Not Constantinople)” by They Might be Giants, and “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by Dr. Seuss and Albert Hague. For the full repertoire list, see the Chorduroys web site.

“This is also where we’ll say goodbye to our three amazing seniors: Mike Koumaras, Dan Miller, and Josh Brodsky,” says musical director Jeremy Deaner ’04, a mechanical engineering major from Fitchburg, Wis. “This is your last chance to hear Dan and Mike rock the mic and your last chance to be floored by Josh’s incredible vocal percussion — unless, of course, you buy our CD.”

“I’d really like to thank the seniors for their hard work and dedication throughout their time with the Chorduroys,” he adds. “All of their talents have really made the Chorduroys a great group to be in.”

The Chorduroys competed in the quarterfinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella March 1 at University of Delaware (see related story). The group released a CD, One Size Fits All, in November, and is preparing for another album. Earlier this month, the men performed at the Dance Marathon and at the Williams Center for the Arts.
