More than 20 students gave music recitals, including members of the Brass Ensemble and Guitar Ensemble, Monday and Wednesday in Williams Center for the Arts room 123.

The music department scheduled auditions to determine which students would perform. The event was open to the campus community.

Seven students gave recitals in piano, violin, flute, and voice on Monday.

Pianist Heather Badamo ’03 performed Sonata in D major, k. 448 for Two Pianos, by Mozart. She is a student of Alexis Fisher.

Violinist Nathan Tregger ’03 played Preluduim and Allegro by Fritz Kreisler, accompanied by Lorenz Maycher. He is a student of Marka Young.

Flutist Jennifer Tonkin ’03 presented Sixième Solo De Concert, op. 82 by J. Demersseman, accompanied by Lorenz Maycher. She is a student of Susan Charlton.

Soprano Laurel Kalp ’06 sang Pur dicesti, O bocca bella by Antonio Lotti and Dans les ruines d’une abbaye by Gabriel Fauré, accompanied by Judith Manley, her instructor.

Violinist Sarah Harting ’03 performed Violin Concerto #3 by Mozart, accompanied by Lorenz Maycher. She is a student of Marka Young.

Soprano Nuri Noaz ’03 will sang Voi, che sapete (Le Nozze di Figaro) by Mozart and O mio babbino caro (Gianni Schicchi) by Giacomo Pucchini, accompanied by Judith Manley, her instructor.

Pianist Katie Brown ’04 played Toccata by Khatchaturian. She is a student of Alexis Fisher.

Wednesday’s program opened with three members of the Brass Ensemble presenting Verbum Caro (motet) by Tomas Luis de Victoria. Tom DiGiovanni ’96 and Ken Brader directed tuba player Sean Comerford ’06 and euphonium players Marc Gittleman ’06 and Ryan Tobin ’03.

Pianist Nathan Tregger ’03 performed Rhapsodie in B minor, op. 79 no. 1 by Brahms. He is a student of Alexis Fisher.

Soprano Marianna Macri ’06 sang Che fiero costume by Giovanni Legrenzi and In der Fremde (Liederkreis) by Robert Schumann, accompanied by Judith Manley, her instructor.

The Guitar Ensemble played Moody by Michael Ihde and Couasnon’s arrangement of Blackbird by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Accompanied by their instructor, Frank Flandorffer, the musicians were Chris Michaud ’03, Mike Muffley ’03, Joe Benoit ’04, Evan Grolley ’05, John Cole ’05, Dan Rosenblum ’06, and Sean Comerford ’06.

Soprano Hannah Tuson ’06 presented Ch’lo mai vi posa (from “Siroe”) by Handel and The Song of Shadows (from “Dream Songs”) by Bennett. She is a student of Judith Manley.

The Brass Ensemble offered its rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa, comprised of flugelhorn player Rob McEwen ’05, euphonium player Ryan Tobin ’03, tuba player Sean Comerford ’06, and trombonists Dave Glasser ’06 and Marc Gittleman ’05. The group was directed by Tom DiGiovanni ’96 and Ken Brader.

Pianist Andrea Leuenberger ’06 performed Prelude by Bach. Her instructor is Alexis Fisher.
