Sigda heads ETC engineering department

On March 10, John P. “Jack” Sigda ’86 was named vice president engineering manager of the engineering department of Environmental Tectonics’ aircrew training systems. ETC designs, develops, installs, and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), and other systems.

Sigda’s responsibilities will include all ETC’s centrifuge, spatial disorientation, and

commercial training devices.

He has worked at ETC since September 1992, holding various positions in software design and control systems engineering.

The company is based in Southampton, Pa.

After graduating with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Lafayette, Sigda earned masters and doctoral degrees from the University of Virginia.
