New cast iron lampposts bearing the Lafayette College seal are beautifying the campus. They are the gift of Alan Brink ’70, president of Spring City Electrical Manufacturing Company, Spring City, Pa., a foundry specializing in traditional crafted-metal lighting systems.

In the first phase of the project, 25 detailed, ornate lampposts are being installed in the area of the Quad. Subsequent installations will bring the total to 107 lampposts in various campus areas.

“These are something students have been looking for,” says Bruce Ferretti, director of plant operations. “They will create a unified look to the campus.”
