Former Yugoslav Ambassador Petar Boskovic will give a lecture about the situation in the Balkans 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Kirby Hall of Civil Rights auditorium.

Free and open to the public, the event is sponsored by the International Affairs Club and International Affairs program.

Boskovic served as ambassador to London and to Cyprus, and has been involved in Yugoslavia’s international affairs for many years. He has written two books on changes in European society and more than 200 articles for the press, mostly in Yugoslavia. Boskovic has participated in many seminars and lecture tours at home and abroad. He considers the United States his second home, having spent seven years here, including academic studies in Pennsylvania.
