Alumni will return to campus today for back-to-back engineering forums to provide insight into careers in the construction industry and give general information about applying to graduate school and seeking a job as a senior.

Both events will take place in Acopian Engineering Center room 200 and are open to all.

At noon, chemical engineering graduate Maria Mignogna ’03 (Pittsburgh, Pa.) will tell students what to expect in job interviews and discuss the graduate school application process, including what benefits schools offer to attract students. Lunch will be provided.

Mignogna, who graduated Lafayette cum laude, is in her second year of pursuing a Ph.D. in chemical engineering at Penn State. During her senior year, she built a solar-powered, scale-model car during an intensive, yearlong research project.

At 1 p.m., alumni from the Bovis, Turner, and Daniel O’Connell’s Sons companies will participate in a panel discussion on “Careers in the Construction Industry.” The event is sponsored by the Leonardo Society, the A.B. engineering student group.
