On July 1 (2003), E. Mimi MacLean ’93, Darien, Conn.; Bruce Maggin ’65, Chappaqua, N.Y.; Stephen D. Pryor ’71, Houston, Texas; and Alma R. Scott-Buczak ’74, Cliffside Park, N.J., began five-year terms on the College’s Board of Trustees.

MacLean is founder of Savvy Stitch LLC, a retail company focused on monogramming gifts. She was founder and president of Eventive Sites LLC. Incubated at Columbia Business School, where she earned an MBA in 2000, the firm created websites for weddings and corporate events.

She is a member of the Lafayette Leadership Council, an alumni admissions representative, and a class agent and fund manager. A former class reunion chair, she served on the 1998 Special Task force on Alcohol and Substance Abuse and has sponsored externships for Lafayette students.

MacLean is a mathematics-economics graduate and a certified public accountant.

Maggin is principal of The H.A.M. Media Group LLC, New York City, an international investment and advisory firm specializing in the entertainment and communications industries. The former head of the ABC Multimedia Group, he was also chief executive officer of TDN, a joint venture of Gemstar-TV Guide, Thomson Multimedia, and NBC.

A member of the Lafayette Leadership Council and former Board Associate, he served on the New York City regional committee during the Lafayette Leadership Campaign.

A government and law graduate, he holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from Cornell and is a member of the New York State Bar. His son Daniel is a 2002 graduate.

Pryor is executive vice president of ExxonMobil Chemical Company, Houston. He was named president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company in 1999 when Exxon and Mobil merged and assumed his current post in 2002. Since 1971 he has held a variety of managerial positions in the United States and United Kingdom and was general manager of the company’s affiliates in Cyprus and New Zealand.

He is former Board Associate, Lafayette Leadership Council member, and class agent. A biology graduate, Pryor holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

His wife is the former Kathy Wheeler ’74. Scott-Buczak is assistant executive director (vice president), human resources, New Jersey Transit, one of the nation’s largest public transportation authorities. She was vice president, human resources and facilities, of Innovex LLP, and held positions in human resources at Pfizer, Inc., and Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

She is a member of the advisory board of the Council of Lafayette Women and an alumni admissions representative. She was a Board Associate and served on the Lafayette Leadership Council.

An economics and business graduate, Scott-Buczak holds an M.A. from New School University. Her husband is William Buczak ’74.
