Chi Phi fraternity will host its ninth annual Dan Boone Memorial 5K to fight cancer Saturday.

The entry fee is $10 for students and faculty, and $15 for others. Participants will receive a T-shirt, enjoy a post-race barbecue, and be eligible for prizes. All donations will go to the American Cancer Association. Last year’s race raised over $9,000.

The race is held in honor of Dan Boone ’95, who died in 2000 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, according to Chi Phi, which encourages people of all ages to participate. The starting time is 9:45 a.m.

To register, use the on-line form at www.chiphirho.org/5k. For more information, contact race organizer Tim Bruss ’04 (Summit, N.J.), a double major in computer science and A.B. engineering, at brusst@lafayette.edu or 610-438-1026.
