Local children will get their share of Halloween treats and frights on campus 6:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the annual Trick or Treat on the Hill.

Registration, which costs $2 per child or $5 per family, will be held 6:30 p.m. in the Farinon Center Atrium. Children will be placed in groups to visit participating Greek houses and residence halls, most of which will be decorated for the event. Some will host haunted houses or other activities.

“People really enjoy doing Trick or Treat on the Hill,” says math major Lis Edwards ’04 (Belle Mead, N.J.), event organizer as philanthropy chair of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. “It is a way to have fun while helping others enjoy themselves as well.It also lets the college students remember what it was like to be little and celebrate the holiday by going trick or treating.”

Participating groups to date are the Alpha Gamma Delta, Tri-Delt, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Alpha Phi, and Pi Beta Phi sororities; the Chi Phi, Delta Upsilon, and Phi Psi fraternities; the Easton, Watson, and Marquis residence halls; Watson Courts; Keefe Volunteer Floor; Association of Black Collegians; Hispanic Society of Lafayette; and Newman Association.

Proceeds will benefit the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which supports the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. For more information, contact Edwards at edwardse@lafayette.edu.
